We have broken ground (and frost) to begin construction of our 2010 Spring Parade of Homes Model in Symphony Hills, Chaska.  You will find this home in the spring Parade of Homes , # 192 in the booklet.

This will be GreenWood’s newest 2-story design.  Warm hardwood floors and natural light grace the open and spacious main floor.  The kitchen is beautiful and functional with a walk in pantry, granite countertops and an island to seat six.  A large and functional mud room and multi purpose den complete the main level.  The upper level is designed with 4 large bedrooms complete with walk in closets.  The vaulted owner’s retreat has a large bath with soaking tub, split vanities and large walk in closet.  Lots of storage and a laundry room complete the upper level.

New Deck With Trellis

September 7th, 2009

This is a new deck that we recently completed in Excelsior. We removed the existing deck and expanded it and changed the layout. The new deck has a full set of stairs. We used ironwood (ipe) decking and a cedar rail. The trellis is all cedar also. We wrapped all of the columns in Hardi siding with Azek trim boards. The curved front was a great addition to the deck and really brought everything together.

Laundry room renovation

September 7th, 2009

We recently remodeled a laundry room in Chanhassen. We removed the existing cabinets and stand alone sink, moved the plumbing and heating and dryer vent to allow for a stacked washer and dryer. This freed up a lot of space along that wall for new cabinets. The new cabinets have shelves that slide out to make the maximum use of the space. We installed a new granite counter top to make it feel more like the rest of the home. The new stainless steel under mount sink with new faucet finished off the space. They now have a laundry/back entry that is much more functional and feels much more open.

Chanhassen Deck Update with Trex

July 27th, 2009

We just finished up updating a deck in Chanhassen. The structure was in great shape, but the cedar decking had seen better days. We removed the cedar decking and the entire set of stairs. The stairs were a little bouncy and they were not wide enough to accommodate the new Trex rail which was mounted inside of the stringers for added strength and great looks. The upper deck used two colors of decking. Trexx Accents Saddle was the main portion of the deck, with a picture frame around the perimeter of 2 rows of Trex Accents Madeira with a row of Trex Accents Saddle sandwiched between them. The end result was a great looking deck that will last for many years to come.

Replacement of Cedar Deck with Maintenance Free Deck

July 1st, 2009

This is a deck in Chanhassen that we will be removing the existing cedar decking and rail and entire set of stairs to replace with new maintenance free decking. The decking will be Trex decking. The railing will be a combination of Trex and decorator aluminum maintenance free spindles. The stairs had to be removed because they were unstable and the new Trex decking requires more stringers to support it.
